Gearhouse Durban’s Audio Visual Operations Manager may be new to heading up the AV division at Gearhouse South Africa but is certainly no newcomer to the company or to the Audio Visual environment.

As early as 2000, Vincent Greenwood was already freelancing for Gearhouse as an Audio technician “I was resident Gearhouse sound technician at Bargo’s nightclub in Greyville for 2 years, setting up all the mini concerts and DJ events using the grand old Turbosound TMS3’s and working with the likes of Rodriguez, Springbok Nude Girls and Boo,” he explains.

On Thursday 27th March 2014, Crystal Towers Hotel and Spa hosted the Garmin Exclusive Partner event where the African Product Collection for 2014 was showcased and their brand campaign ’My Africa, My Garmin for Life’ launched. 

The event was focused around Garmin’s Navigation to Health initiative, through which Garmin is helping to change the face of Africa. Technical proficiency was pivotal to the success of the occasion, the venue’s technical partner; INHOUSE Venue Technical Management (IVTM) was on hand throughout the event to assist.

The Inhouse Venue Technical Management team, based at CTICC, had the privilege of being involved in two farewell events that were hosted for the outgoing CEO, Rashid Toefy. The one was an internal relaxed staff event and the other was a formal external stakeholder.

The interactive staff farewell involved as many staff and service providers as possible to pay tribute to a great leader and thank Rashid for his leadership, contribution and the opportunity to be part of such a successful organisation.
