With the busy season looming; technical services supplier, INHOUSE Venue Technical Management (IVTM) and The Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel partnered up recently to offer the hotel’s clients a truly 5-star technical service. This very well established hotel is known for its client-driven approach and prides itself on offering a very high level of service.

All of the hotel’s conference venues underwent refurbishments. The Sherwood Room (formally Garden Room), Lord Nelson Room and Orchid Room each received soft refurbishments. The Union Castle and the Ballroom were completely refurbished which included the installation of high tech, up-to-date presentation equipment. The Union Castle now boasts a full Audio/AV solution controlled via a 7”touch pad which offers clients the option of using a drop down screen and projector or 55”LED plasma. The system is both VGA and HDMI compatible.

The annual Bidvest Awards Gala Dinner corporate function is one of the largest on the SA corporate calendar. The international Bidvest Group, with almost 150 000 employees in countries all over the world, gathers to celebrate excellence and take stock of their performance. An international gathering, this prestigious demands a special event for its entertainment.

Usually held over three nights, the event comprises of a banquet each night and a performance of a specially created stage show for Bidvest’s top executives and employees, who travel in from all over the globe for the event.

George Ezra’s recent three city tour of South Africa with Seed Experiences saw Gearhouse support each leg from its various local operations. Three concerts taking place over three consecutive nights in cities separated by several hundred miles is a common occurrence for touring artists, but less so for local rental companies. However, this was the challenge that faced Gearhouse Group South Africa as it supported George Ezra for his performances in Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg.

For the first time on a professional stage, 9 young people from various provinces will together present “Location 9” a dance work choreographed by the multi award Dancer, Choreographer and Teacher Portia Mashigo specifically for this group of young dancers. The work is based upon the formation of a bigger platform where people develop an individual vocabulary which is used to present a story about who they are. A story is shared by many at this location 9, where dance is our language, my location.
