Like many other multi-disciplined Gearhouse staff members, 35 year old, Prashna Parsoot has worked her way up through the organisational ranks the hard way; learning admin, accounts, operations, sales and most recently project management during her nine years at Gearhouse System Solutions. "I have worked on system integration projects at the new General Electric Africa Innovation Centre, Menlyn Shopping Centre, uShaka Marine World, the Botswana National Stadium and Silverstar Casino. I also assisted with the installation at FNB (Soccer City) stadium and Moses Mabhida Stadium during the 2010 World Cup period and I have been fortunate to keep continuously moving forward, learning, growing and striving to meet client expectations" she explains.

Prashna studied Human Resources through Unisa and thereafter travelled for two years to the US where she studied the Associates Degree in Management in Dallas, Texas. "I am a people orientated and easy going person. I pride myself in being caring, courteous and helpful to all around me - building relationships wherever I can and adding that extra spice to life" she says. Not having children of her own, Prashna asserts that spending time with her nephew and friends' children helps her see the light-hearted side of life.

Not that she needs much help in that regard! This feisty lady seems to have a unique ability to make the best of whatever life offers her. Prashna has been involved in Bollywood dancing professionally for a few years, dancing at the Udit Narayan Concert and for a Vodacom Daddy Cool Advert in her spare time. "Now I am doing belly dancing and loving it," she enthuses. "I love the outdoors, wildlife, sunsets and the beauty that nature offers."

"Coming from a reserved background into the Gearhouse Group, I have been exposed to a different environment / industry altogether - interacting with a full spectrum of dynamic personalities and talented, strong, passionate people. My experience with System Solutions has opened my mind to the diversities the world has to offer; I have grown independent and stronger and more accommodating of life's changes. I hope that in the coming years I will continue to move up the ladder and to play a more integral role within the Gearhouse Group of Companies."
