Gearhouse South Africa and INHOUSE Venue Technical Management (IVTM) were both nominated for the EXSA-LLENCE Best Supplier Award in the A/V category at the 2016 Exhibition Industry Awards (the United Industry Awards), with IVTM winning and Sophia Karras collecting the award. Both companies are part of the Gearhouse Group.

‘As a company we are very proud to have been recognised at the EXSA-LLENCE awards,’ stated James Demore, director of IVTM. ‘Being an industry award it recognises the efforts we as a company put in every day to deliver the best we can, service-wise. It always will remain our focus that clients of IVTM rely on us to enhance the representation of their brand, providing the technology and support that makes a difference to the guest experience.’

The award ceremony was staged in Randburg at the TicketPro Dome, organised by the Association of African Exhibition Organisers (AAXO) and the Exhibition Association of Southern Africa (EXSA). Gearhouse serves as the preferred supplier for all rigging inside that particular venue and as such sponsored the event with the supply of rigging points.

Also taking home an award was Keith Manana, senior A/V technician at Gearhouse South Africa, who was presented with the award for Best Supplier Employee – A/V. Also nominated in that category were employees from INHOUSE and Gearhouse sister company LEDVision.

‘I am so happy to have won this award,’ exclaimed Mr Manana. ‘I want to extend my thanks to the industry members who voted for me but also to the rest of my team – not only my A/V colleagues but the rest of the Gearhouse team who all support each other in our performance onsite.’
