Stop Hunger Now SA ended 2015 with a campaign called PACKED WITH LOVE targeting 10 000 families to be fed over the festive season. The Packed With Love Festive Drive took place in Johannesburg at the Sandton Convention centre and Cape Town at the V&A Waterfront during December 2015.

Key to the Stop Hunger Now's Meal Packaging Events is the involvement of volunteers, usually from Corporate clients, who form production lines and as a team, work together to package the meals. The meals are highly nutritious and comprises rice, soya, dehydrated vegetable mix and a fortification pack of 23 essential minerals and vitamins specifically formulated to combat malnutrition (complying with UNICEF standards).

The meal packaging event is a fun and engaging way for volunteers to be part of the drive to end hunger. 40 volunteers can package 10 000 meals in two hours! The Stop Hunger Now volunteers range from children as young as four years old to senior citizens. Scholars that volunteer are awarded a Community Service Certificate.

When Stop Hunger Now SA hosted its Mandela Day Meal Packaging event at the Sandton Convention Centre in July 2015, a call went out to support companies, family and friends to contribute services, time and/or financially to their Million Meal Challenge, a first worldwide. INHOUSE Venue Technical Management, technical supplier to the SCC sponsored the stage and sound system for the day's activities as well as staff.

Volunteers from both IVTM and sister company Gearhouse South Africa threw their support behind the initiative, lending hands to package meals as a team. “What a fantastic initiative" said IVTM's Graeme Marshall, “working together on this project outside of our normal business relationships, really created a great vibe amongst ourselves and with the venue staff as well."

"Stop Hunger Now is committed to “eradicating hunger one child at a time." says Saira Khan – CEO of Stop Hunger Now SA. “Partnerships like ours with IVTM and Gearhouse South Africa enable us to ensure that children in South Africa don't go hungry and thus are able to focus on their education. We are privileged to work with companies like this who not only sponsor the equipment but also volunteer themselves to package meals for Vulnerable Children. Thank you all very much from all of us at Stop Hunger Now SA."
